Firmware Update: Asus A7N8X Uber Bios 1007

Owners of the Asus A7N8X motherboard should rub their hands: for different versions of the board, version 1007 of the Uber Bios appeared† These are original Asus BIOS updates that have been modded, usually to fix some issues and add (hidden) features. Owners of either revision of the A7N8X, the A7N8X-X or the A7N8X-E Deluxe can pick up the new Uber Bios, which is already on version 1008.

Release notes:

• Enhance system stability with certain types of RAM
• This revision has more Q-fan options to select.
• There are also more options for the UART2 connector like ‘smart card’ and ‘ASKIR’.
• Also the AUTO mode for the printer port IO/IRQ allocation has been made selectable.
• S3(STR) is now selectable for option ‘ACPI Suspend to RAM’.
• Additional Power On By PS/2 Keyboard/Power On By PS/2 Mouse options are available.
• DDR Reference Voltage selection choices now range from 2.6V – 2.9V.
• AGP VDDQ Voltage selection choices now range from 1.5v – 1.8V.
• CHIP Voltage Control selection choices now range from 1.6V – 1.9V
