The boycott of X, the former Twitter, by advertisers is going to kill the company. Owner Elon Musk said this in an interview. He does not appreciate the boycott and used harsh language against advertisers.

Musk believes that advertisers are trying to blackmail him with the boycott, he says in the interview with CNBC at DealBook Summit. “If someone is going to try to blackmail me with advertising, with money, I say ‘go fuck yourself’. Is that clear? I hope it’s clear. That’s how I feel.”

The owner of X takes into account that the company will not survive the boycott. “This is going to kill the company, and the whole world will know that those advertisers killed the company. We will document it in detail.”

The boycott stems from tweets from Musk, in which he promotes anti-Semitic theories. Many companies that advertise on X decided that they no longer wanted to spend their money on the platform. Musk then visited Israel, although Musk says the visit had already been planned and that it was not a visit to apologize.
