Driver Update: Realtek HD Audio 1.30

Realtek Semiconductor Corporation has updated its High Definition Audio drivers to version 1.30. The drivers are suitable for Windows 2000 and later, and for both 32 and 64-bit versions, as applicable. High Definition Audio is the successor to the AC’97 sound codec and was introduced by Intel and Dolby Laboratories over a year ago. Sound cards and motherboards equipped with an ALC880, ALC882, ALC883, ALC861, ALC260 or ALC262 are able to reproduce these enhanced sound signals. The download is over thirty MB in size and what exactly has changed is unclear, because the changelog is, as usual, very cryptic:
