Driver Update: Realtek HD Audio 1.28

On Realtek’s site there are new HD Audio drivers in the form of version 1.28 published for the motherboards equipped with this hardware. These drivers are suitable for the ALC880, ALC882, ALC883, ALC861, ALC260, ALC262 chipsets in combination with Windows 2000, Windows XP or Windows XP x64 and come with a number of bug fixes and tweaks. High Definition Audio is the successor to the AC’97 sound codec and was officially introduced a year ago by Intel and Dolby Laboratories. Below are the release notes of the 1.28 drivers, as well as the list of changes:
