Driver update: nVidia nForce4 7.12 beta

nVidia has released a new set of nForce4 drivers on nZone, the company’s site for beta drivers and programs. made available that have been given version number 7.12 beta. The package is from this location download and work according to Daemonicus on both the AMD and Intel variants of the nForce4 boards. The nForce driver package consists of a number of drivers for the various components associated with the nForce chipset. For example, the package includes drivers for the Ethernet controller, I/O hardware and sound card. The release notes of beta 7.12 look like this:

Installation Notes

  • Windows XP users must install Service Pack 1, at a minimum, prior to attempting to install this package. Failure to do so will result in the inability to support USB 2.0.
  • Installation of DirectX 9.0 or higher is required in order to use NVMixer.

Release Notes

  • Standalone drivers with support for nForce4 products, including support for dual-processor systems.
  • Added support for NVIDIA Disk Alert System
  • General compatibility fixes.
