Driver Update: ATi Catalyst 5.12 Control Panel

Yesterday, ATi released new Catalyst drivers for its Radeon video cards. The new 5.12 drivers could only be downloaded using the Control Center, which requires the .NET Framework. Making the drivers available with only the Control Center was not appreciated by ATi because the predecessor of the Center, called Control Panel, is a lot simpler in design and faster start-up. However, a link to the Catalyst 5.12 version with the Control Panel has surfaced on various computer forums. ATi has the package behind this page and when downloaded takes up just over 26 megabytes of disk space.
