Driver update: ATI Catalyst 10.1 hotfix

AMD has released a patch for the ‘gray screen issue’, which we previously reported on the front page. The problem, which only occurs on the HD 5700 and 5800 series, suddenly gives a gray screen after which a reboot is necessary. However, the hotfix is ​​only suitable for the HD 5800 cards and does not solve the problem in all cases. The hotfix for the 5700 series would be released later and a final fix would be offered in version 10.2 of the Catalyst drivers. AMD has two downloads on offer. The first is for Windows XP, the other for Vista and 7. The driver is suitable for both 32bit and 64bit versions. The release notes look like this:
