DJI has released the Mini 4 Pro consumer drone for 799 euros. In terms of most specifications, the drone is practically identical to the Mini 3 Pro, although the manufacturer made some improvements to the camera system with built-in gimbal.

The DJI Mini 4 Pro has the same 48-megapixel lens with f/1.7 aperture as the Mini 3 Pro, but now supports slow-motion videos in 4K/100fps. Recordings in 1080p resolution with 100 and 200 frames per second are also possible. The camera also supports the same digital zoom amounts, but these are now variable. Unlike the predecessor, there is some internal storage space available, but this is only 2GB.

The only other major change is the sensor system. Apart from an extra 3D infrared sensor on the bottom, the DJI Mini 4 Pro has the same sensor placement, but they now work in all directions. That is why the drone actually has a 3D sensor system to prevent collisions, with the sensors also functioning at a higher maximum speed.

Furthermore, the drone uses the same compact design as its predecessor, although the newer variant is slightly larger both folded and unfolded. When folded this amounts to a few millimeters and with the propellers unfolded it amounts to a few extra centimeters.

The drone once again weighs less than 249 grams and maintains the maximum flight time of 34 minutes as standard with the Intelligent Flight Battery. Practically all other flight performance of the drone is also unchanged. Just like its predecessor, the Mini 4 Pro can ascend and descend at 5m/s. The horizontal flight speed is still 16m/s.
