Ubiquiti has put its own digital doorbell in its webshop. It is currently only available to early access members. The doorbell works with other devices in the UniFi Protect series and has its own display.

The doorbell has appeared in the company’s webshop. Only buyers with an early access account can see it there. It is a beta product, Ubiquiti says. It is a WiFi video doorbell called UniFi Protect G4. The doorbell has a built-in display, which allows users to communicate with visitors and vice versa. The camera has a passive infrared motion sensor, and night vision for shooting in the dark. The camera has a five-megapixel sensor and the images from the doorbell can be viewed in an HD resolution of 1600×1200 pixels at 30fps. The doorbell works with dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi.

Ubiquiti says the doorbell works with other devices within the UniFi Protect series. These include surveillance cameras. The page does not state whether the bell supports PoE. The camera costs 199 dollars, converted about 170 euros, but at the time of writing the product is sold out.

Update: tweaker MarkyB reports that the bell is only available in the US for the time being, and that a European release date has not yet been announced.

Update 2: tweaker console freak says that the bell specifically does not support Power-over-Ethernet.
