Developer inXile has announced the third game in its inXile series. Wasteland 3 is the first game in the series with the ability to play a campaign in co-op mode. The developer wants to fund the game again through crowdfunding.

The game will be released on crowdfunding site Fig from next week, inXile says in a tweet. The game will be set in a wintery Colorado, where, according to the developer, users will be confronted with difficult moral choices and dialogues that should help provide a “deep” story in the game.

It is an RPG that can be played in both single player and multiplayer. In co-op, players can play both simultaneously and asynchronously. The choices that people the user is playing with when they are not online can affect where they are in the game when they come back online. Compared to Wasteland 2, the developer has added vehicles, environmental hazards, and a smoother system for displaying action.

Wasteland 2 came out in 2014. The developer hopes to raise $2.75 million for the new game on Fig. The game is set to release simultaneously on an undisclosed date for Windows, Mac, Linux, PS4, and Xbox One.
