Developer Team Ninja and publisher Koei Tecmo announce that Dead or Alive 6 is delayed. The game will not be released on February 15, but has been postponed to March 1. The team is given extra time to improve the balance.

Publisher and developer not only want to adjust the balance, in the extra weeks Team Ninja gets, they also want to improve the gameplay and ‘expressiveness’ of Dead or Alive 6, says producer Yohei Shimbori, who further apologizes for the delay. Dead or Alive 6 is out now on March 1, for Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

Almost simultaneously with the announcement of the postponement, publisher Koei Tecmo sends out a tweet that suggests that a demo of the game will appear. “Maybe the time has come to give our fighters the chance to TEST their skills,” reads the somewhat cryptic description. A date and the platforms on which the demo would be released are not disclosed by the publisher. Fans are advised to check the Twitter account of the game to follow.
