Cooler Master releases two mechanical keyboards with Cherry MX switches, RGB lighting and ARM soc for storing macros. The MasterKeys Pro L is a full-size model, while the smaller Pro S version is tenkeyless.

Various lighting effects are possible with the RGB LEDs of the MasterKeys Pro keyboards. Presets such as Color Wave, Star Effect, Rain Drop and Breathing are available in the included software, among other “responsive effects,” according to the manufacturer. Cooler Master is also working on an SDK for the keyboards. The MasterKeys Pro models come with your choice of red, brown, or blue Cherry MX switches. The MasterKeys Pro L keyboard has keys that have a UV coating, which according to Cooler Master should ensure that the inscriptions do not fade with intensive use. The keyboard also has a detachable cable.

Cooler Master has integrated a 32-bit ARM soc in the keyboards, which makes it possible to run macros and store them in the hardware. Four keys are provided to generate and save profiles. For example, it is possible to program multiple keystrokes under one key, or to adjust the backlight per key with key combinations. The presence of the processor makes it possible to use these functions without installing any software on the computer.

The new Cooler Master keyboards will be available for purchase from March. The MasterKeys Pro L has a suggested retail price of 169 euros and the Pro S model costs 139 euros.
