Competitive shooter Valorant is available to all players

Riot Games has released free-to-play game Valorant. The competitive 5vs5 shooter was already available in beta, but is now open to all players. During the beta period, almost three million players were active daily.

The game will be available in ‘most regions’ worldwide starting Tuesday. An account is required to play the game. Players can create it on the Valorant website. In honor of the official launch, Riot Games has put two videos online. There is a gameplay trailer which is a cinematic video highlighting a character from the game.

Riot Games previously promised to release the game in the summer, but an exact release date has not yet been announced. The beta has been active since April 7. The test period lasted just under two months.

Valorant is a shooter where two teams of five players compete against each other. Players choose from characters with unique traits. The game has dedicated 128-tick servers and the developer wants to ensure through agreements with peering providers that at least 70 percent of the players worldwide have a ping of 35ms or lower.
