Gearbox will release its shooter Bulletstorm for the Nintendo Switch this summer. The game will be titled Bulletstorm: Duke of Switch Edition and will come with all previously released DLC, including the playable Duke Nukem character.

Gearbox Publishing has yet to announce a release date, but according to the game’s makers there is one more milestone to go and the date will be announced after that. That’s what they say at the presentation at PAX East. The game will be released in the summer of this year.

The Switch version includes the full single player campaign and all expansions released for the game. Bulletstorm first came out in 2011, and a remaster was released in 2017 titled Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition. That remaster with, among other things, 4k textures was released for Windows, the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One.

Images of the Switch version have not yet shown the developers. It is not yet clear to what extent the Switch version differs graphically from the game on other platforms. The makers do claim with their announcement that the game has been running smoothly on the Switch from the first build.
