Bose Introduces QuietComfort 45 with Transparency Mode and 24-Hour Battery Life
Bose has officially introduced the QuietComfort 45 headphones. The new model features improved active noise canceling, a transparency mode and a battery life of 24 hours. The headphones cost 350 euros and will be delivered from September 20.
The specifications of the Bose QuietComfort 45 are in line with the information that leaked online for a few weeks. The active noise canceling would have been improved, according to Bose, and provide even more silence via the Quiet mode. The Verge reports that especially mid-range frequencies are better filtered out. The headphones also include an Aware mode. This transparency mode allows users to listen to music and hear sounds from their environment at the same time. Microphones are used for this to pick up the ambient noise. That sound is then played back in real time in the ear cups. Bose also added a fourth, external microphone to improve speech detection during calls.
The operation and appearance of the QuietComfort 45 is comparable to that of the QuietComfort 35 headphones. On the right side of the headphones, there are four buttons that allow you to adjust the volume, change Bluetooth connectivity and turn off the device. On the left is a button that toggles between Quiet mode and Aware mode. According to Bose, seams and cracks have been eliminated on the new models and softer materials have been chosen, including the synthetic leather on the ear cushions.
The QuietComfort 45 headphones have USB-C and a 460mAh battery. This would allow the headphones to last for 24 hours on a single charge. The device is recharged in 2.5 hours. With a charge of 15 minutes you can listen to music for about 3 hours. The headphones have support for Bluetooth 5.1 and can connect to two audio devices at the same time. Bose Simple Sync is also supported.
The new QuietComfort 45 headphones replace the QuietComfort 35 II headphones and can be booked on the Bose website for 350 euros. They are available in two colours: black and white. The device will be delivered in the week of September 20.
