Blizzard registers Mists of Pandaria brand name
Blizzard has registered the brand name Mists of Pandaria. However, the developer has not yet disclosed what it wants with the brand name. The application shows that the name relates to an online game.
A member of fan site Mmo Champion found out that developer Blizzard Entertainment had the brand name Mists of Pandaria registered less than a week ago. The request is on July 28 submitted. The developer itself describes the product as ‘computer game software’ and as ‘entertainment service, namely an online computer game’.
Blizzard has not yet announced a game called Mists of Pandaria. Fans suspect that the name refers to the next expansion of World of Warcraft. Pandas would then play a central role in this, which now play a marginal role in the mmog. Blizzard’s J Allen Brack admitted at BlizzCon 2010 that a new expansion is being worked on. The developer even seems to have two more expansions in store, according to a leaked document. In addition to the expansions for WoW, Blizzard also has a new mmog in production, which has the working title Titan.
