Asus has announced a portable monitor with USB-C connection that combines a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels with a screen diagonal of 15.6″. The MB169C+ can be connected to, for example, laptops via USB-C.

The MB169C+ is the successor to the MB168B+ from two years ago. The new monitor has an IPS screen instead of a TN panel and the USB 3.0 connection has also been replaced for a reversible USB-C variant. Both the image signal and the power run through the cable.

According to Engadget, the design of the monitor has not been adjusted and the resolution is still 1920×1080 pixels. The weight is eight hundred grams and the thickness is 8.5 mm, making the model slightly thicker than its predecessor.

More and more laptops and other devices have the USB-C connection. External displays are intended for mobile use and employees can, for example, create a mobile workplace with multiple screens. Asus has not yet announced the price and availability of the MB169C+.
