Studio Wildcard will release the Ark remake Ark: Survival Ascended on November 30 for the PlayStation 5. The delayed game is a remake of Survival Evolved based on Unreal Engine 5. The game was previously released in early access on Steam and for the Xbox Series X and S.

Ark: Survival Ascended was originally set to release in August this year and was postponed in April. Initially, only the PC version was released in October this year. Subsequently, the Xbox Series X and S variant was released a little over a week ago. Then it was mentioned that the PlayStation 5 version would be released in December, but on Xthe former Twitter, the developer announces that the game will go live on November 30.

At the same time, the developer is stopping the ability for PC gamers to enter crossplay servers. In a message the company explains that measures are being taken against cheaters and that users on PC are therefore temporarily unable to play online against players on other platforms. It is not clear how long this measure will last. The single player and private servers are still available to all Ark: Survival Ascended players.

In addition to this standalone Ark: Survival Evolved remake, the same studio is working on a sequel to the survival game, which is currently called Ark 2. In Ark, players must survive on an island full of dinosaurs and eventually tame and ride the creatures. The original game is rated good to very good on all platforms, but the remake is currently receiving a lot of criticism due to the number of cheaters and performance issues.
