Apple has announced that the Beats Music music service will no longer be available after November 30. Existing customers can be transferred to Apple Music. There were already rumors that Apple wanted to discontinue the Beats Music service in favor of its own streaming music service.

The date of November 30 became named on a support page on the Beats website. Existing customers who use the music streaming service Beats Music will automatically have their subscription canceled on that date. Those who wish can have their settings and preferences, including playlists, transferred to Apple Music; both music streaming services are owned by Apple.

Several times there were rumors that Apple did not want to continue with Beats Music, because the company did not want to offer two of the same services with the same function side by side. At the time, Apple dismissed the rumors as untrue. Nevertheless, the discontinuation of Beats Music was already expected, since it is no longer possible for new users to subscribe to the Beats service since the introduction of Apple Music.

Beats Music came into the hands of Apple last year after it acquired headphone maker Beats for $ 3 billion, about 2.8 billion euros. Apple’s own music service was announced in June, after a long period of negotiations with record companies.
