Upcoming iPhone 15 devices will reportedly have a maximum charging power of 35W, according to those involved. It is not clear whether this only applies to iPhone 15 Pro models or also to the regular variants. Apple will probably release the iPhone 15 series at the end of September.

Various sources have meanwhile versus 9to5Mac confirmed that certain iPhone 15 models will receive the relevant charging capacity. For the time being, iPhone 14 Pro devices can be charged with a maximum of 27W, with a theoretical charging time of about two hours. If the battery of the iPhone 15 series does not become much larger, the increased power should lead to a shorter charging time.

Charging capacity is not the only thing that Apple is rumored to be addressing, as several sources previously suggested that the iPhone 15 series will have a USB-C connection instead of a Lightning port for the first time. From 2024, a USB-C port for small electronics will be mandatory in the European Union.
