Microsoft gives Windows Subsystem for Android, which allows users to run Android apps on Windows, support for VPN connections and connections over IPv6. That’s part of the latest update for Insiders in the United States.
VPN and IPv6 support are part of Advanced Networking for the subsystem, says Microsoft. Android apps running under Windows thus gain access to more networking options, including both options. On ARM computers, the ability to find local devices over the network is also added.
To make this possible, the Settings menu of the Subsystem for Android has been addressed. The changes are in the July update for the Insiders subsystem in the United States. This means that the availability of the options is still limited. It is unknown when the features will be available outside of the US and for users not in the Insiders program.
