AMD announces that the Radeon RX 560 video cards are available now. The RX 560 was already announced last month, but availability was still pending. The first models have appeared in the Pricewatch, prices start at 108 euros.

AMD announced the RX 560 in April, along with the RX 570 and 580. The latter two were available almost immediately, but the cheaper model was delayed. AMD used GPUs for the RX 460 of which two compute units were switched off, with the new RX 560 all sixteen CUs are active. This brings the number of stream processors to 1024 instead of 896. The clock speed of the new card is also slightly higher.

At the presentation AMD mentioned a price of 99 dollars, converted including VAT that comes down to about 108 euros. At the time of writing, that is also the price of the cheapest model in the Pricewatch, a 2GB version of Sapphire. The same manufacturer has a 4GB model, which is offered for about 126 euros.

The RX 550 cards have already appeared earlier, which in fact consist of half an RX 560. These budget models have eight compute units. The Radeon RX 550 cards are currently in the Pricewatch for prices from around 89 euros.
