Battlefield Hardline will be released on March 19
Electronic Arts has announced the release date of Battlefield Hardline. The shooter will be released on the European market from March 19. In addition, it has been announced that Star Wars Battlefront will not be released until the end of 2015.
Battlefield Hardline was originally set to be released in 2014. However, EA gave developer Visceral Games more time a few months ago to improve the quality of the game. A release date was unknown at the time, but EA’s quarterly figures show that Battlefield Hardline will be released on March 19 for Windows, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
EA also has a update given on the development of Star Wars Battlefront. The game, which is being developed by Dice, should be released in the fall of 2015. The game is the first in a series of Star Wars games that EA plans to release. Little has been announced about the game yet, but it is clear that the game will be released for Windows, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
In the past quarter, EA had a net turnover of 1.22 billion dollars, converted to 0.96 billion euros. That is higher than the turnover in the same quarter of last year. The final profit is three million dollars, converted 2.36 million euros. That is also significantly better than in the same quarter last year, when EA suffered a loss of 214 million euros.
EA claims to be the largest publisher in the west thanks to games such as FIFA 15, NHL 15, Madden NFL 15, UFC, Titanfall, Battlefield 4 and FIFA 14. More than 1.9 billion hours of EA games were reported to have been played on consoles and PC in the past quarter.
