Embracer Group reveals existence of yet unannounced LotR game
Embracer Group, the Swedish investment company that owns many gaming companies, has five different Lord of the Rings games in development. Four of these have already been revealed so far.
The games are in development with ‘external partners’, according to LotR game rights owner Embracer. The ones already known to be coming are Gollum, Return to Moria, Heroes of Middle-Earth, and presumably a Weta game that doesn’t have a name yet. That would be four in total, leaving a fifth.
This could be a relatively small-scale smartphone game; after all, the same applies to Heroes of Middle-Earth. It could also be that it is a game with a much higher production value. That is now also in the list in the form of The Lord of the Rings: Gollum and, to a certain extent, Return to Moria. These games are developed by Daedalic Entertainment and Free Range Games respectively, and judging by their trailers, they have an appearance that is closer to triple A than the smartphone games.
This trailer is from LotR: Gollum; this is not the unannounced game.
