Download 7-Zip 9.20.08 alpha

The developers of 7-Zip have released a minor update to last week’s version 9.20.07 alpha of their eponymous archiving utility. 7-Zip can handle a variety of compression formats, including zip, cab, rar, arj, lzh, chm, gzip, bzip2, z, tar, cpio, rpm, deb, and of course the proprietary 7z. Furthermore, the software is capable of opening iso files and Nsis installation packages. 9.20 alpha includes support for uefibios files and improvements in integration with 64bit operating systems included. What’s new in latest alpha update:

• 7-Zip now remembers “Show Password” option selection.
• The bug in latest alpha versions was fixed: Default solid block size was small (command line version only).
