The Office 365 Team has announced that the Clip Art that has been in Office for years will be retired. From now on, Office users who want to add images to a document will come to Bing Images.

According to Microsoft, the use of Clip Art images in Office has decreased significantly in recent years. Office users would mainly download images through search engines. Microsoft has therefore decided to close the Clip Art library in its office suite. Users will now be redirected to Bing Images.

According to Microsoft, Bing Images offers better quality images than the old clip art images. The software giant also states that Bing uses a copyright filter that only shows Creative Commons images. As a result, an Office user will not be presented with copyrighted images in a search.
