Xiaomi has announced that it will present its highly anticipated Redmi Note 4X smartphone on Wednesday. This successor to the Redmi Note 4 should be released around Valentine’s Day, and will probably get more RAM and storage than its predecessor.

The arrival of the Redmi Note 4X was announced via Weibo, a Chinese competitor to Twitter, GSM Arena noted. Although the manufacturer states that the device should be available around Valentine’s Day, or February 14, it is unknown whether a European release is also planned: Xiaomi has not announced anything about this yet.

Xiaomi has also released little about the specifications. However, the Chinese approval authority Tenaa has already released the specifications of the Redmi Note 4X. Xiaomi appears to be opting again for the MediaTek Helio X20, just like with the Redmi Note 4. In previous rumors, there was also talk of a Snapdragon 625 or 653; it is still possible that Xiaomi will release two versions.

The inspection body also reveals that Xiaomi has opted for 4GB of ram and that you can choose between 32GB and 64GB of storage. That is an upgrade compared to the 3GB and a maximum of 32GB storage that was available with the regular Note 4. Furthermore, the Note 4X has a 13-megapixel camera on the back, a 5-megapixel camera on the front, and the battery has a capacity of 4100mAh. These features are also the same as those of the Note 4, so it is a relatively small upgrade.
