A video of the unreleased LG Velvet 2 Pro smartphone has surfaced. The high-end smartphone should have been released this year, but then LG decided to stop its smartphone division. The existing copies now go to employees of the company.
The video shows that there was already a design for the box, which has a sticker stating that the phone is now for employees only and that resale is prohibited. The device shown is black with gold color accents.
The phone has a 6.8 “OLED screen with 1080p resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The smartphone runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888-soc with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage. The battery has a capacity of 4500mAh. The phone measures 165x75x7.5mm.
The primary camera is from Sony and has a maximum resolution of 64 megapixels. In addition, there is a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and an 8-megapixel camera that should offer 3x magnification compared to the primary camera. The phone should have followed last year’s Velvet.
LG had planned to release the phone this year, but then decided to stop making smartphones . The manufacturer has promised to support existing phones for a maximum of three years with updates.
