Ubisoft will release Skull & Bones, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, and Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope in fiscal year 2022. That fiscal year runs until March 31, 2023. The company confirms the release period when discussing its quarterly figures.

Ubisoft tells investors that the three titles will be released in the second half of this financial year. With that, these games will be released between October 1, 2022 and March 31, 2023. Ubisoft previously said that Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope will be released in 2022, but did not share any concrete release periods before. So both titles seem to be on the schedule for the last three months of this year.

Ubisoft announced Skull & Bones back in 2017, with a planned release in 2018, but delayed the pirate game several times over the years. Skull & Bones gameplay footage recently leaked, suggesting a release is imminent. Ubisoft later confirmed the authenticity of those images.

The pirate game does not yet have a concrete release date, but the release period has now been reduced to the end of this year or early next year. “We’ve been working hard on Skull & Bones, so we’re planning to bring something really new to the market,” the company tells shareholders. The Skull & Bones Development Team recently reported on Twitter that Ubisoft will release more information about the game soon.

Ubisoft also addresses rumors that the company may be acquired, writes Eurogamer. The studio says it has “all the means to remain independent”, but also indicates that it will consider any takeover offer “in the interest of all shareholders” and the team at Ubisoft. Financial news agency Bloomberg wrote in April that Ubisoft has come to the attention of some private equity firms, but there are said to be no serious negotiations yet.
