The number of OLED monitors delivered is expected to increase by 323 percent in 2023 compared to 2022, according to TrendForce. This would amount to 508,000 pieces. The analyst firm also expects that more than 1 million OLED monitors will be delivered in 2024.

TrendForce writes that the increase in demand will mainly be due to ‘the increasing size of OLED products, combined with the ambitious plans of various top brands’.

Samsung in particular could supply significantly more OLED monitors in the second half of 2023, giving the South Korean manufacturer a market share of 27 percent. At Dell this could be 20 percent and at ASUS around 9 percent.

The 34″ OLED screen segment is likely to be the most successful this year. TrendForce estimates that this segment accounts for 37 percent of the OLED monitor market. This is followed by the 27″ group with 32 percent, followed by the 49″ category with 14 percent. TrendForce expects the 27″ segment to play a major role in the growth of the market in 2024. The analyst firm then thinks that more than 1 million OLED monitors will be shipped worldwide. TrendForce also sees growth opportunities for the 31.5″ segment next year. Its market share could then possibly increase by 10 percent.
