In an email to employees, Intel announced that top executives, Kirk Skaugen and Doug Davis, are leaving the company. Aicha Evans, head of Intel Communication & Devices, is said to have thrown in the towel a few days earlier.

Kirk Skaugen was head of Intel’s PC and consumer products division and was leaving the company to take the next step in his career. His last working day is April 8. Doug Davis heads the internet-of-things group at Intel and will retire at the end of the year. The email to staff was sent Monday by CEO Brian Krzanich and Venkata “Murthy” Renduchintala, president of the IoT Businesses and System Architecture Group.

Davis wants to spend more time on his family, friends and other interests. He started at Intel in 1984. Skaugen joined the company in 1992. His last position at the Client Computer Group will be succeeded by Navin Shenoy.

On April 1, Bloomberg reported that Aicha Evans had turned in her letter of resignation. Evans retires after ten years. Less than a year ago she became chief of Intel’s mobile chip division Communication & Devices. The chipmaker is still not making good results in that market, although the exact reason for its departure has not yet been disclosed.
