The Witcher 3 gets patch to fix bugs and performance issues
Marcin Momot, CD Projekt Red’s community manager, took to Twitter to say that a patch is underway to fix “all the major issues” that emerged after last week’s extensive update.
In his message Momot doesn’t address the individual issues that the upcoming patch should fix. Last week, CD Project Red released version 1.20 of The Witcher 3, shortly before the release of the Blood and Wine expansion. momo confirms only that a bug will be fixed that prevents players from pinning the camera to an opponent.
A large topic has been opened on Reddit where all bugs can be reported, in addition to the official forum. This shows that many players suffer from low fps, especially in the city of Novigrad. In addition, there are problems with earning XP and in some cases it appears that the horse Roach no longer has a tail. Some issues are related to the content of the new expansion and others to the previous patch.
The Blood and Wine DLC adds 90 quests and approximately 30 hours of additional gameplay to the game. The expansion also introduces a new area called Toussaint. At the end of the DLC’s credits, CD Projekt Red displays a message thanking players and indicating that Blood and Wine is the end of The Witcher 3.
