Nintendo will release Super Mario Maker 2 for the Switch on June 28. There will also be a Limited Edition bundle with a stylus and an annual subscription to Nintendo Switch Online. In the game, players can create their own Mario levels.

According to Nintendo, the stylus is useful when creating levels in handheld mode. Players will receive the accessory when they pre-order the game, both from brick-and-mortar stores and Nintendo eShop. In February, when Nintendo announced Super Mario Maker 2, the game would be released in June, but a date was not known at the time.

The new Maker game in the Super Mario series offers more options than the first installment. For example, players can create ramps and the Cat Mario power-up from Super Mario 3D World can also be used. The first part was released for the Wii U and later also came to the Nintendo 3DS. It is not yet known whether a 3DS version of Super Mario Maker 2 will also appear.
