Sony postpones Gravity Rush 2 until January 2017 and gives away DLC for free
Sony has announced that Gravity Rush 2 has been delayed until January 18, 2017. To ease the pain, the maker is giving away free downloadable content. Toroma indicates that more time was needed for online functions.
The game will be released in the European Union on January 18. The United States and the United Kingdom will get it on the 20th. The game was originally scheduled for November 30 and December 2. In a blog post on PlayStation’s website, the game’s lead developer apologizes for the delay.
The lead developer writes that the development team has decided to offer the previously announced ‘premium’ DLC for free. Little is known about the DLC, but he speaks in the blog post of an ‘extra story’.
The first Gravity Rush was released in 2012 for the PlayStation Vita and later also came out for the PlayStation 4. In September last year the successor was announced, Gravity Rush 2. This game will only be available for the PlayStation 4.
In the game, the player takes on the role of a girl named Kat. The girl has special powers, with which she can influence gravity for herself. She can float in the air, walk on walls and launch attacks from the air.
