Spread the love

Yate, short for Yet another telephony engine, is a telephony engine written in C++ and now focuses mainly on VoIP. It is easy to expand and can therefore also be used for transferring video or data and instant messaging. Examples of applications are as an H.323 gatekeeper, SIP router, IVR engine or VoIP to PSTN gateway. PHP and Python scripting support is provided. For more information, we refer you to this page. The fourth pre-release of version 0.9.0 has recently become available with the following announcement:

Yate 0.9.0pre4 minor release. The main improvements are in server-side support for NAT traversal or SIP and RTP for clients behind NAT. Calls should succeed for any NAT device that does not also block ports by firewall. Some support was also added on the client side (Yate behind NAT) when remote servers require usage of the public IP address.

The CDR times and intervals are now expressed in milliseconds and some abnormal conditions were fixed. Please note that the PHP libraries were upgraded to PHP 5 and are no longer compatible with PHP 4 – a simple sed command is provided to convert them back.[break]The following downloads are ready:
