BillP Studios has updated Winpatrol to version 9.0. In this program, Scotty the watchdog keeps an eye on the system, allowing it to do its work faster and more stable. Thus, it detects and stops spy, ad and malware, virus attacks, malicious Internet Explorer addons and prevents home page hijacks. Finally, it monitors a number of other things, including the processes running on the PC, the hosts file, and file extensions. In addition to the free version, there is also a Plusvariant that provides access to a database with extensive information about safe and malicious programs and processes.
