Download Wine 0.9.8

In order to be able to run Windows programs on other operating systems as well, people started developing the Wine program years ago. Meanwhile, this program runs on the Linux and FreeBSD operating systems. The developers have released version 0.9.8 of their own implementation of Microsoft’s Win32 Application Programming Interfaces (API). The list of changes looks like this:

• Beginnings of a Wordpad application.
• Many rich edit improvements.
• A number of Direct3D fixes.
• A few more options in winecfg.
• Lots of bug fixes.
