Software Update: Windows Repair 3.9.14

Tweaking.com has released a new version of Windows Repair. This program is capable of fixing many problems, such as errors in the registry or with file permissions, or caused by a virus. The repairs are extensive, so it is recommended that you only use the program when there are few other options left. Before it starts repairs, it offers options to check the hard drive for errors, scan the system files and of course create a backup of the registry and a system restore point. The program can be used for free, even in commercial environments. You can get one for twenty dollars pro license which provides additional options and supports further development of the program. Since version 3.9.12, the following changes and improvements have been made:

  • Fixed bug where program wouldn’t switch to pro on some systems.
  • Updated Repair Windows Updates
  • Updated Repair MDAC
  • Updated Repair Icons, this repair now checks and removes all thumbs.db files as well.
  • Multiple code changes and fixes.

Changes in Windows Repair version 3.9.13

  • Updated Remove Policies Set By Infections
  • Updated Repair Windows Updates
  • Updated ManageACL_32 and ManageACL_64 to v1.4.0
  • ManageACL_32 is now complied to not use SSE2 so it will run on older cpus.
  • Updated Tweaking.com – Registry Backup to v3.5.2
