Software Update: Winamp 5.2 beta build 430

Spread the love

Another beta build of Winamp 5.2 has appeared on the Winamp forum. This time it concerns build 430, which has four bug fixes compared to the previous release. Winamp could only play music files in its early years. At the time it was one of the most well-known programs that could play mp3s in a decent way. Now, several years later, the programmers are developing the Winamp 5 series. The 5 branch is characterized by the plugin support of 2.x and the skin engine of 3.x. At the moment Winamp is a complete media player: not only music files can be played, but it is also possible to watch movies and listen to various radio streams. Build 430 is available for download in flavors Pro, Full, Standard and Lite. The exact changelog is published below:

430 changelog

  • [pmp_ipod] Less crashing when transfers complete
  • [ml_pmp] More general fixes
  • [core] More general minor bug fixes and improvements
  • [in_dshow] Fixed dshow system tray icons (ffdshow, ac3filter, oggds, etc) not disappearing when video playback ends (might’ve already been fixed in 427).
