Software Update: Winamp 5.112

A new version of Winamp has just become available in the Winamp forum, namely version 5.112. The program can be downloaded in different variants. The Lite version only plays music files, while the Full version also allows viewing video files, listening to web radio broadcasts (SHOUTcast) and ripping CDs to a limited extent. Finally, the Pro version can also encrypt files and burn CDs. However, you have to pay for these features. A number of bugs have been fixed in this version, including a crash under some circumstances when burning a CD. The full changelog looks like this:

• Crash when burning with EQ on, or with any DSP/Effects plugin enabled
• [in_mp3] id3v1->id3v2 track# copy glitch
• [in_mp3] crash when playing mp2 files with ‘fast layer eq 1/2’ enabled
• [out_ds] Volume shows as “f dB/f dB” in config > Status tab
