The VisualHub program can be seen as a further development of iSquint with which you can easily convert all kinds of video material on the Mac OS X platform to, for example, the video format for the iPod, PSP and Tivo. The program supports Xgrid with which you can distribute the encoding of the video material over the connected Macs. For more information, we refer you to this page and this manual in PDF. The developer has released version 1.1.5 with the following changes:

Version 1.1.5:

• iPod videos are now created in such a way that tagging in iTunes is much much faster.
• Videos that conform to the high-res H.264 iPod size limits are converted as-is.
• Minimized stuttering in WMV encodes.
• VisualHub now runs on Japanese systems (sumimasen).
• H.264 MP4 videos will always display with square pixels on applicable devices unless specifically specified.
• VisualHub-created H.264 MP4 videos played through QTSS or Darwin Streaming Server now display smoother video.
• Weird stability problems in 10.4.6 resolved.
• Rare stability problem on 10.4.8 Intel worked around.
• 10.4.7 works great. How are you?
• Now works for users with impossible short names.
• Idle CPU usage now 0%.
