Software update: Ventoy 1.0.69

Spread the love

Version 1.0.69 of Ventoy has been released, the fourth release of this month already and that’s not even counting the withdrawn version 1.0.68. This open source program allows the creation of self-starting USB sticks. However, the way it does that is different from comparable tools. The USB stick only needs to be prepared once and after that as many ISO files can be placed on the stick as there is free space. Ventoy automatically creates a boot menu for the existing ISO files. Support is in place for both UEFI and legacy boot and it has been tested with over 800 different ISO files† The changelog for this release looks like this:

Changes in Ventoy 1.0.69:

  • Fix a BUG that NTFS Ventoy show NO ISO found … (introduced in 1.0.68 which has been deprecated)
  • Support F2 to browse Ventoy itself. Notes
  • Optimize menu generation speed when browsing files
  • Skip System Volume Information directory when browsing files.
  • Vlnk supports files in Ventoy disk reserved space.
  • Make VTOY_TREE_VIEW_MENU_STYLE also control the browser menu style. †#1439
