The KMPlayer, not to be confused with KMPlayer from the KDE SC, is a comprehensive media player for the Windows platform. The KMPlayer handles a variety of formats and containers, including vcd, dvd, avi, mkv, Ogg Theora, ogm, 3gp, mpeg-1/2/4, wmv, RealMedia, and QuickTime, using both internal as external filters. It can also handle subtitles, it is possible to take screenshots or to save audio and video clips, and the appearance can be adjusted by means of skins. Since the previous entry in the Meuktracker, the following changes and improvements have been made:

Changes in build 1439:

• DXVA2 H.264 performance improved.
• DXVA2 MPEG2 bug fixed.
• Resizing of Preference page.
• Audio errors during content playing are fixed.
• File playing start speed improved.
• Synchronizing errors between Video and Audio channels are fixed.
• MP2, ATRAC3, H.261 codec bug fixed.
• Decision logic for content(AVI) scanning fixed.

Changes in build 1438:

• Support DXVA2
• lib codec codec updated.
• VP8 codec supported.
• Fix nsv parser.
