The KMPlayer, not to be confused with KMPlayer from the KDE SC, is a comprehensive media player for the Windows platform. The KMPlayer handles a variety of formats and containers, including vcd, dvd, avi, mkv, Ogg Theora, ogm, 3gp, mpeg-1/2/4, wmv, RealMedia, and QuickTime, using both internal as external filters. Furthermore, it can handle subtitles, it is possible to take screenshots or to save audio and video clips and the appearance can be adjusted by means of skins. Although not officially announced on the homepage, a new version has appeared some time ago. The changelog for that release looks like this:
