Download Sandboxie 4.12

Version 4.12 of Sandboxie has been released. With this program it is possible to run programs under Windows in a protected environment. That way, changes made by programs like Internet Explorer are easy to undo. In addition, there is no risk that important parts of the operating system will be affected. Sandboxie can be used on Windows XP and higher, and a one-year license costs 17.85 euros, the lifetime license is no longer offered. Version 4.12 brings the following changes and improvements:

Changes in version 4.12:

• The MS Visual C++ redistributable libraries have been broken out into a separate download. These now download and install during the Sandboxie install. Installing them this way will enable them to be automatically updated by Windows Update should MS issue any hotfixes.
• The auto-update feature is working again.
• The Portuguese (Portugal) language has been fixed
