Software Update: Samsung Magician 4.7

Samsung has released version 4.7 of Magician. This program can manage a Samsung solid state disk. For example, the health of the SSD can be monitored, the firmware can be updated, statistics can be viewed and settings can be adjusted. Various tests can also be performed and the program will indicate whether you have a real or fake Samsung SSD. The program can therefore be compared to Intel’s SSD Toolbox.

Magician is still not officially supported on Windows 10 by Samsung. The program does start, but not all options work. Samsung also has a download quota, which has already been reached today. Version 4.7 includes support for the 2TB versions of the 850 PRO and 850 EVO and advanced performance optimizations on the 840 EVO mSATA. For this, a new firmware is first installed on those models.
