Download PowerArchiver 2004 9.1

The PowerArchiver 2004 compression utility has been updated to version 9.1. Support for all common formats is provided, including ZIP, CAB, LHA, TAR, RAR, ARJ, GZ, and BZIP2 files, among others. Encryption can also be applied using Blowfish, DES, Triple DES and AES algorithms and the program has an internal viewer for different file formats. The changelog for this release looks like this:

• Improved TAR support: support for GNU TAR standard to handle long filenames (over 100 chars)
• Improved Explorer mode when browsing drives:
  • Saving column sizes/order
  • View Menu can be used when browsing drives
  • D&D works to and from explorer mode
  • Multiselect now works in explorer mode
  • Smart keypress focusing enabled
• Explorer view – enabled drag and drop of paths from archive to the explorer when Explorer view is enabled.
• PA Backup Express Lite – support for 128bit AES encryption added.
• SFX support – support added for additional CAB SFXs.
• “Open With” menu improved.
• GZIP support – added support for some extended GZIP archives.
• ZLIB/Compress support added (*.z files).
• Progress window – total progress added, FTP progress information improved in sys tray.
• Various other small enhancements and fixes.
