Download PHP 5.2.9-1

The PHP development team has released a new Windows build of the program released. In the Windows versions of PHP 5.2.9 there is in the cURL library a security flaw found, causing the developers to compile a new build. The new version has been given jersey number 5.2.9-1 and is available from the download page to bring in. PHP calls itself a ‘hypertext preprocessor’ and is mainly used to generate dynamic content in the html markup language server side. The software is often used in combination with the database program MySQL, with which the dynamic content of websites and forums can be served.

This release focuses on fixing a security flaw introduced by the cURL library (CVE-2009-0037). Please see the following for a full description:

Please note that the cURL related function is disabled when open_basedir or safe_mode enabled.
