Software update: Object dock 0.95

wheeler couldn’t keep his fingers off the keyboard and typed the following over Objectdock: “Since MacOS X came up with a really nice docking menu, several software makers for Windows have tried the same thing. Besides Yz Dock and Moby Dock, Stardock is especially doing with the program Objectdock good business, they have a lot of knowledge to make a fast program. Version 0.95 is now out and that usually means that the next version will be final and immediately the first you have to pay for. So are you looking for a nice alternative to all your desktop shortcuts, be sure to give this program a try.”

Objectdock works on Windows XP and on some systems with Windows 2000. The changes in this version are related to speed and better image support. The full changelog looks like this:

  • Thanks to Jairo Boudewyn for the great looking ObjectDock icon now in use!
  • Context (right click) Menus added, functional for both windows and files.
  • Clicking and holding on programs that have running indicators under them will show a menu of all the windows open for that program.
  • “ICL” icon library reading support added
  • System icon loading greatly improved, works great with IconPackager now.
  • Graphic files dropped onto the dock (bmp, jpg, psd, etc) are now represented on the dock by the image they contain rather than a generic icon.
  • Speed ​​improved, found a couple unneccessary slowdowns and eliminated them.

  • Various glitches and small issues fixed up.
  • Background glitch when dock is semi-transparent, has no taskbar, and is aligned right/left along the top or bottom.
