Download MetaForum 0.285

The folks at Blursoft have released a new version of MetaForum in the form of 0.285. The update is possible from this location downloaded as a tarball, taking up roughly 1.11 megabytes of disk space. MetaForum is a piece of forum software that makes extensive use of ‘Asynchronous JavaScript and XML´ (Ajax), so that topics automatically show the new replies and it is no longer necessary to manually refresh the page to see the latest replies´. Through User Based Moderation, users can be the moderator themselves by rating topics, reactions and users: for example, topics with a bad rating are ‘pushed’ down and by setting a response level, the topics below this level are not shown , also supported by Ajax. This release adds new smilies. It adds textual (title bar) and audio notification of new activity. It cleans up unnecessary or deprecated files. A new “Member Profile” page has stats and info on users. The way links in threads are handled has been changed, and includes “external link” imagelink going straight to URI, deprecating the stickyPreview. There are several security enhancements and fixes for verifying AJAX related functions. A popup smiley window that lists all smilies has been added. There are several bug fixes. [break]
